My School Magazine Front Cover

This is an example of my first draft, I liked what I had done although I thought that the name didn't stand out too much and I wanted people to look at the name of the magazine first.

This is my second school magazine front draft cover.

I have changed a few things from my first idea:

• I thought that the text 'The Idsall News' wasn't standing out as much like i wanted it too, so i changed the colour to a brighter one, and I believe that this makes it stand out a lot more. 

This is my 'almost finished' draft, I also want to include the date and issue number, and perhaps a bar code.

This is my 'very nearly' finished 'The Idsall News' front cover.

I am very proud of my draft, and I hope that I can get some good feedback from my teachers and peers.

I wanted to include the school logo, because I think that it needs to look more official, so people know that they are actually looking at the official Idsall School magazine.

I have also changed the 'ITS OUT 50TH BIRTHDAY' colour, because I feel that it's an issue people will need to know about, and that it is perhaps a special edition. I think that the barcode, issue number and date makes it look a lot more official, and realistic.

I have also added some shapes (which are green stars) to keep the idea that it is a children's school and a child magazine.

Although, the fact that my magazine is landscape has proven a problem for the magazine, because magazines aren't landscape and it doesn't look like an official magazine. I took the picture landscape, which made the front cover landscape. This will not be an issue for my music magazine, because I will take the picture at portrait.
